The students were very adventurous in their choice of menu - snails, cassoulet and venison being among the excellent dishes consumed with great enthusiasm..
The waiters, all native speakers, communicated only in French and some 'natural' French conversation took place, encouraged by the language staff who were present.
There was a brilliant atmosphere and everyone declared it a very successful evening
- so much so that we are going to do it again after Christmas 2004.
