On Wednesday 2nd March 2005, Colonel Frank Seely School held their annual Dance Festival in the Main School Hall.

Over 100 people, both students and adults, attended and waited with baited breath for the evening to commence at 7pm.

Year 12 student, Amiel Bailey, hosted the evening.
He introduced each act with great confidence, enthusiasm
and even told an occasional joke to entertain the audience.

The standard of dancing was really high and both solo and groups performed. The pupils varied in age from Year 7 to 13 and were all girls. There were approximately 30 routines performed which ranged from a wonderful display of ballet by Rachael Stonard
to the song “Everytime” by Britney Spears, a fantastic tap routine by Joanna Hoare  to the song “Footloose”, to  R&B, Pop, Salsa, etc.

The song “Lose My Breath” by Destiny’s Child seemed to be a popular choice and it was great to see all the different performances.  The girls had worked extremely hard practising since November last year – they were a credit to the school!!

The grand finale was a fantastic performance by the Year 7 dance group to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’, a song which I think everyone knew, young and old!

The evening was great success and enjoyed by everyone! Well done!
