Colonel Frank Seely visit Austria
During the February half-term holiday, a group of Year 12 and 13 students from
Colonel Frank Seely School went on a skiing holiday to Austria.

After a gruelling 24 hour bus journey we finally arrived at our Hotel in Säuling. We had to travel to the ski slopes every day and so to make the time pass we were treated to Geography with Mr Gaunt on several occasions and also the Mathematics of skiing!!

We were split into 3 ability groups, luckily for us we were in the slow group!  At the start of the week we never thought we would actually be able to ski well at all, but as the week progressed I think everyone suprised themselves. On the last day we even managed to ‘ski’ down a black slope (ski down, fall down…….same thing)!!
All of this was thanks to our brilliant ski instructors Vince, Rog and Will.

Everyone had a fantastic time and on behalf of the whole group we would like to thank Mr Chase and Mr Gaunt for making the week one to remember!!!
